Charities that focus on helping children have always had a special place in my heart. This week’s #GiveBackTuesday is dedicated to Milk and Bookies, an incredible organization that helps bring books to children in need. All kids should be able to discover the joy of reading and escaping into a world of fantasy. Thankfully, charities like Milk And Bookies are making that possible! Get involved and bring adventure to a child’s life by donating here.
Like Dr. Seuss once said…
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
I’m not gonna lie, parting ways with summer is always a little bittersweet. BUT, fall = sweater weather, and who doesn’t love cozying up in a comfy pullover? As soon as the weather starts cooling down sweaters become one of my outfit staples, so I’ve handpicked a few I’m loving just for you. Check them out below! Xo
October is here and you know what that means… Halloween 2014 is officially under way :). I love getting creative and thinking up new costume ideas, so I’m already on the hunt for my next ensemble. In honor of the season, I’ve been reminiscing about fun Halloween memories from the past few years. Stay tuned for more Halloween inspiration and DIY ideas coming soon. Xo
Ps. Any costume suggestions? I’d love to hear your ideas, leave them in the comments below!
For this week’s Give Back Tuesday, I wanted to highlight the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). CAF’s mission is, “to provide opportunities and support to people with physical challenges so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics. CAF believes that involvement in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances quality of life.” How amazing is that?!
If you’re in Southern California this weekend, be sure to attend CAF’s annual San Diego Triathlon Challenge in La Jolla, CA. Come watch and support these athletes! Details below…
San Diego Triathlon Challenge When: Sunday, 10/19/2014 Location: La Jolla Cove Info: Join 200 challenged athletes, 550 able-bodied athletes, celebrities and pros as they complete a 1 mile ocean swim, 44 mile bike and 10 mile run on one of the most breathtaking courses in the country.
If you want to be a part of the organization or would love to help in anyway, you can donate here. Xo
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, I dug up a few awesome accessories and beauty finds from brands that have created limited edition products in support of breast cancer research. Each product is donating a portion of their proceeds to support innovative research to move us closer to a world without breast cancer. You probably already use some of these products daily, so why not buy the version that supports a good cause?
